Pastry-Bike-Pastry 2024

Welcome to Pastry-Bike-Pastry 8!

Take your pick between 100, 65, 50, or 25 mile routes of self-supported, mixed-terrain cycling adventures featuring several checkpoints stocked with donuts sourced from local bakeries.

100 mile registrants roll from the shop at 8 am on the day of the event. Everyone else will leave at 10 am. All routes occur on public, unclosed roads. Emergency personnel will be here at the start to briefly close down the first road to ensure all riders leave safely together. After that point, all riders are required to abide by the rules of the road especially
during the more suburban portions of each route.

Routes will consist mainly of gravel and pavement roads, with some surprises thrown in. 32mm or larger tires are recommended.
Pastry-Bike-Pastry is a self-supported ride, which means all you will find at checkpoints are donuts, water, and enthusiasm, the rest is up to you! (Those who select our 100 mile route should expect a 55 mile gap between their 2nd and 3rd ***official*** donut checkpoints, please think ahead, be aware of the weather the day of the event, and be responsible).

Registration gets you access to all 4 electronic route files and/or printed cue sheets, donuts, entry into raffles, and [a party to follow the ride including music and food]. Links to the electronic route files and parking information will be emailed to all registered participants one week prior to the event date.

Registration closes April 28th, 2024 at 11:59 pm, or when the event is full. Day-of registration will not be offered.

Tuesday Night Pedal & Social Rides

Come out and ride with us every Tuesday evening for a casual spin along the many trail networks that surround Pedal & Spoke!

The main goal for these rides is to get folks stoked on bikes and building a community that isn’t driven by gains or being the fastest person out there. This ride is all about fun, adventure, and friends. Rides will typically consist of a 20-25 mile mixed terrain route connecting some of the great trail systems we have at our disposal. Ride pace typically averages between 10-12 mph depending on group comfort level, but is always kept at a casual, social pace.

We meet in front of the shop every Tuesday night (weather permitting) at 6:00 and roll out around 6:30. This is an organized shop ride that sometimes occurs in the dark, so helmets, lights, and a good attitude are always required. Call in and ask for Graeme if you have any questions. Hope we see you out there!

Monday Night Saw Wee Kee Group Rides

Come out to Saw Wee Kee Park in Oswego every Monday (weather and trail permitting) for an organized mountain bike group ride hosted by Greg Bollinger (trail coordinator) and our very own Graeme Boland. Riders start gathering in the second lot at the park around 5:30PM and roll out at 6:00PM. The ride typically splits into two groups based on rider comfort and speed; and typically goes for about an hour and a half or however long the sun allows for later in the season.

Interested in mountain biking but don't have a proper bike? Or maybe you're already sold on the idea of riding single track and are looking for your next upgrade? Graeme will be out there every week with a demo Specialized Stumpjumper Comp Alloy in size S3 for anyone interested in giving it a try. Please try and reach out in advance so that he can come with a waiver and be prepared to set you up. Hope to see you down there!

We. Love. Bikes.

And we want you to, also! From weekly group rides to special events, we host and support a variety of cycling community centered get-togethers. Most of our more consistent rides occur during the on-season. In order to stay up to date on when we start planning rides, stay tuned here, or to our Facebook and Instagram pages to be the first to find out!
